Rev. Kathryn Gorman-Lovelady and Brian Lovelady

Kathryn Gorman-Lovelady is an aboriginal Medicine Woman, Shaman, Therapeutic Touch Practitioner, Reiki Master, writer, artisan and minister (Aboriginal Interfaith). She is a graduate of the University of Guelph College of Social Sciences with a BA in Psychology, and is a professional medium. Her training includes such diverse elements as shamanism, healing, university parapsychology, and the Midewiwin (Healing Lodge). Her past employment experience includes teaching adult literacy and textile arts, and working in social services and private business. Kathryn formed Moonstar Lodge in 1990.

Brian Lovelady joined Kathryn's practice in January 1995, and brings management and computer skills, as well as many years of social work and practicing meditation. He is an aboriginal Healer, Shaman, Therapeutic Touch Practitioner and Reiki Master. He is also a graduate of the University of Guelph College of Social Sciences with a BA in Sociology.

Brian and Kathryn were married in December 1995. Together, they offer spiritual leadership as Elders in the Canadian Métis Council. Their joint work in teaching and practicing the sacred medicine and healing traditions is the prime focus of Moonstar Lodge. They are presently providing services to the aboriginal population at the Central North Correctional Centre in Penetanguishene, Ontario.  Kathryn is the Native Inmate Liaison Officer and Brian is the Elder. 

Their daughter, Angeni Elu Lovelady, was born on Tuesday, August 11, 1998, at 6:09 PM, and weighed 6 lbs, 8 ounces. (Angeni is Oji-Cree and means "Spirit Angel". Elu means "full of grace".)
